Join us for Woodland's Inaugural Hackathon Competition
25 November - 26 November2021
You Do Not Need To Know How To Code!
What is a Hackathon?
A Hackathon is a timed event where innovative solutions for complex problems, products, and services
are developed. Participants work in small groups to foster creative problem-solving. Even if you have
never dabbled in coding or programming before, you are still able to participate as coding is not a
prerequisite. Through collaboration and creative thinking, you and your team will be able to navigate
the challenge set before you.
Get ready for a competition
We're so excited to invite you to this year's Hackathon held at Woodlands International College. This year, we have opened the field to all high school students who wish to participate in this competition.
What's in for me?
On top of the prizes, you will gain a lot of experience in coding, networking, and collaboration. No one person is the same and we expect everyone to learn from this experience.
There are no coding skills required to enter
We do not need any coding skills from you! We expect you to learn and enjoy your experience at the competition. You will be put into a mixed team of students that will all collaborate with you to create an app/ game. If you already have a team formed, you can all sign up with that.
Teams
The Hackathon is open to all learners in Grade 7 to 12. Teams are to consist of four (4) members. If you
would like to enter a completed team you are welcome to do so. However, if you would like to
participate but are not part of a team you are still able to! Individual entries will be placed into
teams and will have an online meet and greet prior to the event. Entry is free of charge. Registrations
